ABOUT US

Sunshine Warriors is the first organisation of its kind.

At Sunshine Warriors, we bring light and hope back into the lives of children and young people impacted by domestic violence through a culturally informed, trauma-aware approach that prioritizes healing, communities of support, self-determination, empowerment, and health and wellness. Founded as a survivor-led organization, we firmly believe that children and young people experiencing or escaping DV are not just witnesses but victim-survivors in their own right.

Our mission is to create safe, culturally informed, and trauma-aware spaces where children and young people can heal, rebuild their confidence, and envision a brighter future. Through our programs, advocacy, and community collaboration, we strive to break the cycle of trauma and replace it with SUNSHINE.
